Event of the TEE of Epirus for the “Eskoyonamo” program

A day aimed at informing engineers and citizens about the “Excoyonamo” program was held by the Epirus Department of the Technical Chamber of Greece, in continuation of the informational events that take place throughout the country in the context of the celebration of the 100 years of TEE.

During the conference, experienced engineers analyzed the topical issue that concerns thousands of households and businesses, that is, the ways of energy upgrading of buildings and the financing available through the “Exikomano” programs.

After all, in areas like Epirus and due to the special weather conditions, the energy shielding of the houses is necessary, something that in the future contributes both to the protection of the environment and to the reduction of the running costs of the houses, with the main result being to deal with the energy crisis.

The president of the Epirus Department of the TEE, Yannis Tsigros, in his greeting stated that the “Excoionamo” programs made a decisive contribution in this direction, while it was emphasized how important and increased the demand was for the inclusion of homes and businesses in the Epirus region, in the beneficial provisions of these programs.

The speakers at the conference were the special partner of the TEE and former Director General of KAPE, Lambros Pyrgiotis who presented to the public the national energy saving targets for heating and cooling, the special advisor of the Ministry of the Environment, Vassilis Papadopoulos who gave a review of the saving and energy programs upgrade, the electrician-engineer, Stavros Alexis, who presented a complete intervention of the “Excoionamo” program, from the initial phase to the completion of the program, and the civil engineer, Ilias Igoumenidis, who proceeded with a presentation on the Passive House, which is an innovation for the way of energy shielding of a residence and has recently been applied in Greece as well. At the end of the presentations, a constructive discussion followed, which resulted in various conclusions for which the competent Ministry will be informed in detail.
