The rematches of the FA Cup is the first casualty of the new expanded European Cups which require more free dates. The Premier League and the English FA have agreed that from the new season replays in the oldest competition will be scrapped and games will be played at the weekend, with the Premier League pausing in the fourth, fifth round and quarter-finals.
