The US has lost its role as a global hegemon, European Union Foreign Affairs and Security Commissioner Borel stated, noting that the world order formed after 1945 does not exist and these are new realities. According to him, a new superpower is being formed in the form of China. Borel stated that Europe may also collapse, and here the European Union and Britain have something to think about. Armenia also has something to think about here.
Of course, Borel did not talk about it, Armenia is a very small point in the big panorama he presented, which is considered mostly in the full scope of the Caucasus. Armenia has something to think about, because the Armenian public-political and information-expert fields look at the global changes with the logic of a fan, without practical discussions about the new political content of Armenia.
The direction of Armenia is being discussed, not the content. The discussion of direction leads to detachment from reality, and even more, to contrast with reality. In terms of content, Armenia is out of touch with the global changes that are taking place in the world in general, and essentially in each region in particular. Meanwhile, the political content forms the subject of the state and the basis of sovereignty, not the geopolitical direction. In that sense, there is a rather strange and unusual situation in Armenia today. “Unloading” of political content is currently taking place in Armenia.
The political leadership of Armenia has essentially embarked on the dismantling of the political content and identity of the third republic that has existed until now, conventionally speaking, in the form of forming well-known emphases and well-known narratives. However, instead of that, essentially no new content is offered, no substantive discourse around it. There is no such process in the rest of the social-political field either. There is only a process of opposing the action of the government mainly with sensory guidelines, which in turn creates barriers for developing a socio-political process that involves work on political content. It creates a dead end for Armenia.
