Both Greek teams are tied 2-2 in their play off series and need a win in game 5 to reach the final 4 in Berlin

The “eternal” of Greek basketball will play their most crucial games in this year’s Euroleague season on May 7-8, the result of which will decide if they make it to the final 4 of the event to be held from May 24 to 26 in Berlin.

Both Greek teams are tied 2-2 in their play off series and they only want a win in game 5 to reach the three wins required to finalize their presence in the final four and the German capital.

The first to “throw into battle” is Panathinaikos which welcomes tonight at 21:15 the Maccabi Tel Aviv in the closed of the Olympic facilities. The Greens want to return to the final 4 of the Euroleague, as the last time they were in it was in 2012. And then they found Maccabi in the play offs, with Panathinaikos winning in game 5 in OAKA with 86-85 and with 3- 2 wins to get the “ticket” for the top four.

For its part, the “people’s team” will also fight for victory since it also wants to be in the final 4 for the first time since 2014, when it won the trophy – for the sixth time in its history.

The important thing is how Panathinaikos will have the valuable help of its fans tonightas tickets sold out in just a few hours from the moment of their release and thus the closed “Nikos Galis” at OAKA will be full.

Piraeus aim to “write history” to qualify for the third consecutive year in the final 4, as to date no away team has celebrated a Game 5 win.

Barcelona wants to make it to the final 4 for the fourth consecutive season, but its previous “duel” with Olympiacos in the play offs, in the 2014-15 season, ended in favor of the Greek team with 3-1, although the Blaugrana they had home field advantage and started the series with a win in Spain.
