The football school called “Brincando Com a Bola”, located in the district of Zango, in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, lacks support for fencing, earthmoving the field and for acquiring other support materials.
The planning of the project was contemplated by former footballer Armando da Costa Faria (Ti Nandinho), who works with 75 children aged between five and 16, and also needs sponsorship to purchase high competition goals.
Ti Nandinho, declared to Angop, that until now he has only counted on the help of individuals who offer bottles of water, juice packs and sports equipment and with income from monthly fees worth one thousand kwanzas/month paid by guardians. , but without regularity.
The project was created in 2010 with the aim of occupying children’s free time and bringing them together in a space where they could develop their skills for practicing sport.
He informed that the project has the support of the Petro de Luanda club, with whom it has a verbal agreement that allowed the launch of one of its players for the youth team.
Armando da Costa Faria said, however, that his institution recently met with the management of the oil club with the aim of turning the verbal partnership into a formal agreement with documentation, and is awaiting Petro’s decision.
He made it known that the football school is open to serve all associations that are interested in hiring their players.
The institution, which works with volunteer staff as it does not have money to pay employees, counts on the collaboration of a psychologist, a social worker, a doctor, two lawyers, a sociologist, an assistant school director and two assistant football coaches.
The school, which has an office, a barred social room and a bathroom, is located on a plot measuring 70 by 90 square meters and four pillars were placed in the corners to mark the space.
The “Brincando Com a Bola” football school has energy from the public grid, but benefits from water from a public fountain, as the Water for All Project connection has not yet started operating.
Armando da Costa Faria “Ti Nandinho” began his football career in the 80s, having already played for the clubs Victoria do Sambizanga, Interclub, Progresso do Sambizanga, Dinamos, Sporting de Luanda, Sociborda, Inter do Uíge, Flaminguinhos and Edipescas do Cazenga .
He was a promoter of the rise of André Makanga, Manucho Gonçalves, Chara and Nandinho.
