Results U-23 Indonesian National Team vs Australia U-23 in the first round of the second Group A match U-23 Asian Cup 2024 ends with the Garuda Squad leading 1-0. Competing at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Thursday (18/4/2024), Komang Teguh scored a goal after using a corner kick.

The performance of the Indonesian U-23 National Team throughout the first 45 minutes was not too bad. The Garuda Muda squad was able to keep up with Australia’s game.

The match had only been running for two minutes, Jeam Kelly Sroyer was able to pose a threat. Starting from Witan Sulaeman’s pass, the Persik Kediri striker fired a kick from the penalty box.

However, Sroyer’s shot was blocked by the Australian goalkeeper. Throughout the first 20 minutes, not much drama was created by Shin Tae-yong’s team. Pratama Arhan et al were actually busy repelling the attacks launched by Mohamed Toure et al.

In the 23rd minute, Australia was awarded a penalty after Toure’s kick hit Komang Teguh’s hand in the forbidden box. The referee made the decision after watching the replay via video assistant referee (VAR).

Interestingly, Toure’s penalty kick was saved by Ernando Ari. In the remaining time of the match, the Garuda Muda squad tried to get out of the pressure.

At the end of the match, Komang managed to score a goal with a header after taking advantage of the chaos that occurred in front of the Australian goal. Until the first half of the match ended, the score 1-0 in favor of the U-23 Indonesian National Team remained unchanged.
