The ANEXO collective is preparing the first presentation in Chile of the renowned electronic artist The Hacker.
This will be the debut of Frenchman Michel Amato, better known as The Hacker, who under different aliases, has inspired generations of club music fans and artists, first with his work in techno and EBM, but especially after bringing the flag of the electroclash style, which he developed since the late nineties with various artists, including Miss Kittin, producing the world hits “Frank Sinatra” and “1982”.
The Hacker’s arrival in Chile is framed around a tour scheduled during the month of May, with presentations in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
The full lineup of musical artists headed by The Hacker is completed by local artists VNZO, Les Premes and Melania Wonder, who will be in charge of lighting up the dance floor accompanied by a large selection of performance artists such as Catarsis Abosoluta, Anna Balmánica, Amonoma, Lest Skeleton, Organa Feminazi and Stepa Kaustika who will elevate the night with outstanding performances inspired by the futuristic fantasy of Art Deco.
The night is inspired by the significant aesthetic inspired by the German science fiction film “Metropolis” (Fritz Lang, 1927), to dazzle a night in which music and performance will be the protagonists.
Michel Amato aka The Hacker has inspired generations of dance music fans and artists. Since his first release in 1996, Amato had a Techno phase, immersed in EBM, Sci-Fi-tinged Electro and New Wave, but is perhaps most famous as the founding father of Electroclash. He met a soulmate in Miss Kittin and together they became one of the most iconic duos in electronic music, with hits like “Champagne” and “Frank Sinatra,” selling thousands of records. In 2004, Amato released his best-received album to date, Rêves Mécaniques, and with a highly acclaimed album, Le Théâtre Des Opérations landing on the Dark Entries label in 2017, and subsequent contributions to tastemakers such as Helena Hauff, Erol Alkan and Veronica Vasicka.
ANEXO is a collective based in Santiago Chile, which since 2019 has positioned itself in the alternative scene as a reference for large musical and artistic events. ANEXO is recognized for creating spaces and concepts with multiple dissident disciplines around musical, aesthetic and performative curation. Recently, a search has been developed and local and international artistic work has been recognized with important projects such as Selofan (Greece), Filmmaker (COL), May MacLaren (ARG), among many more collaborations.
