On the occasion of the windy season, the staff of the Comprehensive Road Maintenance System (SIMV) intensified the daily inspection and maintenance work of the city’s traffic lights, to guarantee their correct operation.
According to the director of the organization, Roberto Escalante González, the main objective is to ensure that the devices operate properly, and that they fulfill their function of regulating vehicular traffic.
Tasks include changing light bulbs, synchronizing and rectifying heads.
The official said that Daily monitoring of the city’s main roads is carried outand work has been done on streets such as Galeana, Ramón Corona and Calzada Colón.
As well as in the review of Independencia Boulevard in the Cuatro Caminos Road System (SV4C), Saltillo 400, Paseo de la Rosita and Diagonal Reforma.
Escalante González indicated that SIMV staff works 24 hours a day, responding to citizen reports and carrying out reviews in each sector of the city.
He called on the population so that if they detect any anomaly in the operation of the traffic lights, they should immediately communicate through the agency’s social networks or by dialing 073 and 871 749 03 07.
In that sense he said that SIMV staff works in accordance with the established work agendaas well as in responding to citizen reports.
When the type of work on the traffic lights requires it, the support of the agents of the Traffic and Roads Directorate is requested to order traffic on the artery where they intervene.
