Documentation: The IDF cleared the remains of a missile that was intercepted as part of the Iranian attack and fell near Arad

IDF forces cleared today (Friday) the remains of a surface-to-surface missile that was intercepted as part of the Iranian attack from the Nahal Yalim area near Arad, after it was located by travelers at the beginning of the week.

Under the management of the Southern District of the Home Front Command, an aerial evacuation was carried out using an Air Force “Yasor” helicopter in cooperation and planning with the Flight Test Center. The helicopter picked up the fallen person using a dedicated hanger and then the fallen person was transferred to further treatment on the ground by fire and rescue forces and headed for further examination.

The route of the terrain and the great weight of the missile remnant made the evacuation complex. It was made possible thanks to the advance preparation of the Home Front Command and the assistance of the technological headquarters of the Air Force, during the process the fallen was freed from hazardous materials.

The IDF emphasizes: “The traveling public is requested to act in accordance with the directives of the Home Front Command, when encountering a suspicious object. The fallen should not be touched and the police’s 100 hotline should be reported upon finding them.”
