Duckett was caught by Shubman Gill off Kuldeep Yadav after scoring 27 runs off 58 balls. Then Crowley took the team score to 100 with Ollie Pope. Earlier, he scored the 14th fifty of his career.
When Pope got out for just 11 runs, Crowley returned to the dressing room after playing an innings of 79 runs with a partnership of 37 runs with Joe Root. He finished the innings with 11 boundaries and 1 six.
England’s batsmen joined the procession after Crowley’s dismissal. The English lost 3 wickets while the team had 175 runs. Jonny Bairstow (29 off 18), Joe Root (29 off 59) and Ben Stokes (0 off 6) returned one by one.
Then Ben Folks scored 24 runs off 42 balls. And Shoaib Bashir was unbeaten with 11 runs off 22 balls. In the end, the first innings of the English ended with 218 runs.
