Azerbaijan MMA and Grappling Federation head coach Ruslan Efendiyev and veteran athlete Hasan Azizov, who was beaten by his students Tofig Musayev, Khazar Rustamov, Vugar Karamov, Mehman Mammadov and Rufat Asadov, were guests of Bakupost TV.
Publika.az reports that H. Azizov said that he has been attacked many times, even if a weapon was used against him, he did not complain.
He said that being beaten by the mentioned sportsmen was a somewhat different event.
Clarifying the details of his beating, H. Azizov said that before the incident, Ruslan Efendiyev asked him for the phone number of an athlete named Nastya, whom he brought to the competition from Ukraine and was his coach. Hasan asked the reason and said that they do not need any help.
According to him, during the incident at Deniz Mall, Tofig Musayev struck him first:
“There were 6-7 people. After Tofiq hit me, they poured on me. I held my face to protect myself from the blows. I said, you are wrong, this is not a manly act, come alone. But they ignored it. All instructions were given by Ruslan. Extend, lift, shoot, he said. Sometimes they caught, Ruslan hit. They took my wallet, my phone, and opened my belt. They threw me to the ground and dragged me.”
It should be noted that Hazan Azizov is a well-known athlete. He is also an active member of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine.
