“The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Ambassador Alexandra Papadopoulou and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic, Ambassador Burak Akçapar held a regular Political Dialogue meeting in Ankara on March 11, 2024.

During the meetings, in addition to various aspects of bilateral relations, regional and international issues were discussed. The two sides reiterated their joint commitment to build on the existing positive atmosphere, in accordance with the Athens Declaration signed last December by the leaders of the two countries, by exploring additional areas of bilateral and international cooperation.

They assessed the preparations for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Mr. Mitsotakis to Turkey in May and took stock of the progress achieved so far in the existing dialogue channels, covering all aspects of the bilateral relationship.”
