Mayor Román Alberto Cepeda González supervised the modules of the 25th service brigade, in charge of the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), which on this occasion was carried out in the Alamedas neighborhood.
The councilor was accompanied by Mrs. Selina Bremer de Cepeda, honorary president of the DIF, and mainly verified the modules related to health services, where evaluation is provided for cataract surgeries, orthopedic devices and psychological care.
The honorary president of the organization said that among the services of the organization is the issuance of birth certificates, hair cutting, vision examination, glasses and bazaar.
In addition, the presence of the staff of the Torreón Municipal Water and Sanitation System (Simas) stood out, with a module in which interested parties can carry out procedures related to their receipts or make a service request.
“All agencies are present with their staff to provide service to all the people of the neighborhood and residents of other surrounding sectors,” he commented.
Selina Bremer de Cepeda said that one of the most recurring requests in the brigades is that of people with disabilities, in terms of orthopedic devices or rehabilitation therapies.
In addition, he spoke about the psychological care service of the DIF Torreón, and explained that first an assessment of the applicant is carried out and subsequently they are followed up in the system’s facilities or in one of the civil society organizations with which they have contact. agreement.
In the Alamedas neighborhood, personnel from the Municipal Public Services Directorate carried out the rehabilitation of the Alamedas I and Alamedas II plaza, in addition to periodic attention with pruning, weeding and gardening on the main roads in the sector.
The Comprehensive Road Maintenance System implemented patching work on different streets in the area, as well as painting on curbs and pedestrian crossings in the Miguel Hidalgo Kindergarten.
