necessary ingredients
Gram flour – 1 cup
Curd – 1/2 cup
Onion finely chopped – 2
Cumin – 1 teaspoon
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli – 2
Green Coriander – 1/2 tsp Mustard
– 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/3 tsp
Celery – 1/2 tsp
Chopped green chillies – 2
Cloves – 2
Curry leaves – 10-12
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Chopped coriander – 2 tbsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
oil as per requirement
Salt – as per taste
recipe:
– First of all prepare to make pakodas. For this, take a vessel and filter gram flour in it. After this, finely chop the onion and mix it with gram flour. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric, finely chopped green chillies, cumin, celery and salt as per taste and mix everything well. Now prepare the batter for making pakodas by adding water as required. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on high flame. When the oil becomes hot, make pakodas from the gram flour mixture, put them in the pan and fry till they turn golden. – After this take it out in a plate. Prepare all the batter pakodas in the same manner.
After the pakodas are ready, start the process of making kadhi. For this, take a big vessel and add curd in it and beat it well. – After this add gram flour and mix. Now add red chilli powder and turmeric to the curry solution and mix. – Now add water to dilute the solution and mix well. Keep in mind that the curry batter has to be prepared thinly. After this, keep the curry solution aside.
Now put oil in a pan and heat it on low flame. When the oil is hot, add fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, whole coriander and cloves and fry. Add chopped onion, curry leaves, roasted red chilli to it, mix and fry. Fry the spices until the color of the onion turns brown. – After this add ginger-garlic paste to it. – After frying the spices for about 2 minutes, add the curry solution to it and let it cook. Now reduce the flame to medium and let the curry boil. – Keep stirring with the help of a ladle until the vegetable starts boiling. After this, reduce the flame and let the curry cook for about 20 to 25 minutes. After this, add the already fried pakodas to the vegetable and mix. – After this, put ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds in it, then add curry leaves, red chili powder and temper it. – After this add the tempering to the curry. – Now turn off the gas. Your Punjabi style Kadhi Pakoda is ready. Serve it hot with food.
