‘Delivery of profits will not have delays’

La Laguna companies are preparing to distribute profits to workers; some may find it necessary to request a loan, but general compliance in this regard is estimated.

Alejandro Gutiérrez Gutiérrez, president of the National Chamber of the Processing Industry (Canacintra) Torreón, considered that there will not be any delay in the issue in what corresponds to the industrial sector, since it has been a very positive year and companies, by Law , they must carry out this distribution in a timely manner.

“We all have to deliver profits, that is normal, it depends on the sector but in general it has gone very well for the companies in La Laguna,” he expressed, “it is not negotiable, companies have to deliver profits and in the region we are very compliant in In this sense, on that side, the worker can rest assured.

In the case of SMEs, which tend to have lower cash flow, Gutiérrez indicated that each year they prepare for this payment, which is why he ruled out certain practices being applied to evade this responsibility, as occurs in other areas of the country.

For his part, Jorge Reyes Casas, president of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) Laguna region, invited all companies that had profits to deliver and comply with this obligation and responsibility that they have with their work team.

However, he considered that it has been a difficult, inflationary year, so some could require a loan, since many of the reforms that have been applied in the last year have been aimed at placing a greater burden on the business sector, for example , granting more vacation days, more bonus days, increasing the minimum wage.

“It seems to us that they have been good reforms but they must go hand in hand with an improvement in productivity in companies, and now the profits are without money, we have to pay for it,” he explained.

Reyes said that many of the inputs have increased due to the inflationary climate, which is not necessarily due to issues in the country, as he mentioned that the tension between China and the United States or the war in Russia have also had an impact in this sense.
