Around 320 companies in Lower Austria certified as cycling partners

St. Pölten (OTS) This spring, Lower Austria Advertising presented the new quality brand “Radpartner Niederösterreich”. Uniform criteria were introduced to recognize accommodation and catering establishments as cycling partners in Lower Austria – the cycling country in the heart of Europe – and to certify them regularly.

“The Lower Austria cycling partners stand for quality that our guests can rely on,” says state governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, who also emphasizes: “To become a member, you have to meet a wide range of criteria, such as a maximum distance of five kilometers a cycling route, storage and loading options or an adapted athlete’s breakfast. In further steps, we would like to expand the bike partners to other service providers, such as rental or repair. Some of our cycling partners in Lower Austria are the Bett&Bike companies, which are recognized by the ‘General German Bicycle Club’ (ADFC). A total of 130 Lower Austrian hosts have received this bike-friendly certificate, making us once again powerful in promoting our bike routes on the German market. We are pleased that we have once again received confirmation that our offer perfectly meets the target group.”

Michael Shower, Managing Director of Lower Austria Advertising, adds: “So far there have been many different quality seals in Lower Austria, which we have now simplified and brought together under the umbrella of ‘Radpartner Niederösterreich’. This makes it even easier for our guests to find out more and they can be sure that the certified bike-friendly offer awaits them in all of these establishments and restaurants. The cycling partners are regularly recertified, so our guests know that the offering is of the highest quality. With our numerous advertising measures and the new cycling campaign with our brand ambassador Felix Neureuther, we are looking forward to many cycling guests in the coming months.”

In addition to the criteria already mentioned, Radpartnern Niederösterreich also accepts guests for one night; there are drying facilities for clothes and equipment, a medicine cabinet and a minimum supply of bicycle repair tools.
