The draw for the 2024 Copa America Football Championship, which was drawn today in the city of Miami, Florida, placed the defending champion Argentina at the top of Group A alongside Peru and Chile and the winner of the play-off match between Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.

The United States will host the tournament from June 20 to July 16 of next year, with the participation of 16 teams.

The Argentine national team will defend its title on American soil in the expanded edition that will include 16 teams, with six members of CONCACAF joining the usual ten competitors in South America.

Argentina will begin its tournament journey on June 20 in Atlanta, Georgia, facing Canada or Trinidad and Tobago, who will meet in a playoff to determine one of the two qualifying spots for CONCACAF next March.
