Controversial call of the Colombian National Team for friendlies

Luis Díaz leads the call for the Colombian National Team that will play friendly matches this March against the Spanish and Romanian national teams in preparation for the mid-year Copa América, the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) reported this Wednesday.

The first match of this European tour will be against Spain on March 22 and will be played at the Olympic Stadium in London. Four days later they will play against Romania at the Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid.

Colombia, under the command of Argentine Néstor Lorenzo who has called up 26 players for this occasion, will return to Europe after nine months since he was on tour in that continent in the middle of the previous year.

The last time Colombia faced Spain was in June 2017. On that occasion they tied 2-2. Edwin Cardona and Falcao García were the authors of the Colombian goals. Spain’s goals were from Davis Silva and Álvaro Morata.
