Commando steals vehicle from the campaign team of Willy Ochoa, Senate candidate in Chiapas

TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ (apro).- Willy Ochoa Gallegos, candidate for the Senate of the Republic for the “Force and Heart for Chiapas” coalition, which makes up the PAN-PRI-PRD, denounced this Monday that an armed commando intercepted members of his team campaign on a road in the municipality of Arriaga in the coastal region.

In his X account, the candidate explained that his collaborators were traveling from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, heading to the municipality of Suchiate, located on the border with Guatemala, when they were intercepted by men with long weapons.

“Just 500 meters before the Arriaga toll booth, an armed commando in a gray Jeep intercepted my work team and stripped them of one of the vehicles in which they were transporting propaganda heading to Suchiate, where we will have a meeting. with the citizens,” he denounced.

Ochoa Gallegos affirmed that his team is safe, but criticized the situation of insecurity that the entity is experiencing with a Morenoist government.

This is the second time that the candidate of the “Fuerza y ​​Corazón por Chiapas” coalition denounces aggression against him and his work team.

On February 23, by showing a video, he denounced a chase and an attempted kidnapping on the Villas Las Rosas – Comitán highway section. On that occasion he blamed and pointed out the now candidate to be re-elected by the Morena party to the Las Rosas City Council, Jesús Antonio Orantes Noriega, for preventing him from holding an event in the town.

“We are going to visit the state where we can travel”: Olga Luz Espinosa Morales

At the start of her campaign for the state governorship this Monday, Olga Luz Espinosa Morales, standard bearer of the “Strength and Heart for Mexico” coalition, said at a press conference that she will try to go to the 124 municipalities of Chiapas, as long as security conditions are met.

“We are going to try to go everywhere, but if there are no security conditions, then we won’t go. If the governor does not go to those municipalities, imagine how he must be, when he brings all the strength of the State, brings the Secretariat of Security, the National Guard and the Army, and does not arrive; I only bring three National Guard patrols.”

The candidate explained that not even Tuxtla Gutiérrez, the capital, is safe.

Espinosa Morales thanked the National Guard for the support she received, and pointed out that without their help, she would not know what was happening.

He said that a few days ago he was traveling along one of the city’s avenues, when the patrol car behind him stopped. “The security protocol is that they open a gap for me, I go in the middle and two patrol cars behind; The last patrol stayed because a van of armed men was paired with it. The licensed federal representative also declared that “the most curious thing is that in the entity it seems that it only happens to the candidates of the Force and Heart coalition for Chiapas.”

He commented that this is not the second time this has happened to Willy Ochoa; “He has had more incidents, the thing is that they had not materialized, apart from what happened in Villa Las Rosas, I also understand that in Pichucalco they also had some type of incident.”
