Christell thanks her fans by speaking in Japanese after going viral with her song Dubidubidu

In a recent video on his Instagram accountChristell Rodríguez expressed her gratitude to her followers for their support of her song “Dubidubidu”especially those who contributed to its popularity in Japan.

The artist, also a speech therapist, addressed his audience in Japanese and English to express his gratitude after his song went viral on TikTok, reaching high positions on Spotify Japan.

“I want to thank you all for the love and support you have shown towards my song ‘Dubidubidú’,” she said, grateful for having listened to it, danced and shared it.

“I released that song when I was five years old, so it was a long time ago, but I’m so grateful that you guys are listening to it, dancing to it, and making videos with it.”

Despite apologizing for his Japanese in the video, he received praise for his accurate pronunciation of the Asian language.

One user commented: “She’s not Japanese, right? So why does she speak Japanese and she does it so well?” To which Christell responded: “I wanted to share a message with people in Japan who are enjoying the song, so I tried to speak Japanese for it. I don’t think it’s perfect in Japanese, but thank you for your support.”
