Surprisingly, the Ministry of Defense announced this afternoon that, “by decision of the Chilean government, the 2024 version of the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE), to be held between April 9 and 14, will not count with the participation of Israeli companies.”
The statement adds that FIDAE “is the main aerospace and defense fair in Latin America, one of the first in the world and brings together exhibitors from more than 40 countries.”
The lawyer and former president of the Jewish community in Chile, Gabriel Zaliasnik, described the decision as a new “little treat” from the President in his X account.
Who also criticized the exclusion of FIDAE was deputy Gonzalo de la Carrera (ex-Republican), who asserted that this creates a conflict “between two parties that have lived in peace in our country.”
