Catoca donates various materials to Hospital do Zango 2

The Sociedade Mineira de Catoca (SMC), delivered this Wednesday (26), various hospital and IT materials, to the reference hospital in the urban district of Zango 2, municipality of Viana, as part of its social responsibility program .

The equipment consisting of an Electrocoagulator, Flowmeters and computers, accompanied by UPS and printers, as well as office supplies, were delivered to the municipal director of Health of Viana, Matondo Alexandre.

The latter, in turn, thanked the gesture and support given by SMC, having mentioned that the act improves the management of the hospital in relation to patient flow management, such as scheduling and recording appointments, service at the emergency bank, as well as how it will allow better control of users who join that hospital unit.

“From now on, we will be able to provide the data collected here, to the Ministry of Health’s information system, and they must be reported, hence these means are indispensable, for better quality for managing the flow, of data as well as the medication management”, he pointed out.

In turn, representing the President of the Management Board of SMC, its office director Engrácia Soito João, advanced despite the fact that her company focuses its action on prospecting, exploration, recovery and commercialization of diamonds, it never lost with a view to the social component, not only in the eastern region, but in the country in general.

“We try to serve our surroundings, not only internally with workers, but with the communities surrounding Catoca. Initially our action was only in Lunda Sul, but we came to the conclusion that in order to guarantee development in the region, it was necessary to extend our range of action to the rest of the country, precisely to places that have needs, as is now the case with this hospital. , who requested it and we complied with the request”, he pointed out.

It should be noted that the Zango 2 health unit continues to register cases of malaria, acute diarrheal diseases, hypertension as the greatest concern, while at the maternity level it is specific hypertensive diseases. In the last 24 hours, 640 cases of malaria were registered, of which 45 were hospitalized, of which 10 were in serious condition.
