President Andry Rajoelina stressed the importance of land security during his speech at the IDA Summit.

President Andry Rajoelina spoke at the International Development Association (IDA) Summit, highlighting the positive impacts of joint programs with the World Bank. He stressed that the financing of this institution is in perfect alignment with the Madagascar Emergence Plan and the General Policy of the State, generating tangible results. Achievements such as the improvement of the connectivity of the Big Island, the construction of strategic roads and easier access to the market and agricultural inputs, in particular through the rehabilitation of the national road RN44, have considerably improved the daily life of the population in the region. In a country where 80% of the inhabitants are farmers, the question of land security is crucial. The Agricultural Growth and Land Security project (CASEF) has made it possible to distribute more than 2 million land certificates, now affecting 40% of the population. This initiative, carried out in partnership with the World Bank, offers farmers the guarantee of being able to exploit their land in complete peace of mind. President Rajoelina’s statements highlight the importance of international partnerships for the sustainable development of Madagascar, highlighting the concrete impact of collaboration with the World Bank on the lives of Malagasy citizens.
