The Casablanca Harvest Festival 2024 will be celebrated in a big way. Free shows by prominent national artists and the return of this traditional event to the city’s main square are some of the main novelties in the programming of its tenth version.
More than 10 Casablanca vineyards and nationally renowned artists, such as Karen Paola, Grupo el Símbolo, José Alfredo Fuentes, Elctrodomésticos and Grupo Nacional GLUP, will take part in this activity that will be held on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, starting at 12 noon.
During the launch of this event, which will be hosted by TNT Sports host Melina Noto, held this Thursday at Casa Laguna de Tapihue Wines – which houses the William Cole and Quintay vineyards – it was reported that the participating vineyards will be Viña Veramonte, Viña Mar, Casas del Bosque, Estancia El Cuadro, Viña Indómita, López Pangue and Tapihue Wines, as well as signature vineyards, such as Casa Romero, Weichafe, Tinta y Tinto, and Attilio Mochi, among others.
The president of the Casablanca Valley Wine Business Association, Mario Agliati, participated in the launch; the mayor of the commune, Francisco Riquelme; the Seremi of Government, María Fernanda Moraga; the Seremi of Economy, Development and Tourism, Marcelo Arredondo; the manager of the Valparaíso Tourism Corporation, Francisco Godoy; councilors and representatives of the commune’s Retail Chamber of Commerce, as well as artisans. On behalf of Sernatur, meanwhile, Rodrigo Muñoz attended on behalf of the service management.
After the ceremony, Mario Agliati indicated that “the launch of this tenth version of the Casablanca Valley Harvest Festival is, for us, tremendously relevant, first to show the valley, show the vineyards, our gastronomy, our crafts, which allows to simultaneously reactivate the local economy and allow people to relax. We come from a complex year and I think it is necessary for us to recover our traditions and recover our culture.”
In turn, Mayor Francisco Riquelme stated that “we are going to celebrate the tenth version of the Harvest Festival in Casablanca, April 6 and 7. We are going to have the presence of more than 15 vineyards from our valley and, in addition, a top-level artistic show with artists such as GLUP, Karen Paola, el Símbolo, el Pollo Fuentes, Eltrabajos and also the presence of local artists.
It is an event that will take place in the municipal square, completely free, and the invitation is for you to come and enjoy the gastronomy and wines of Casablanca.”
Appellation of origin.
One of the novelties of this version will be the presentation of wines with designation of origin from other valleys that are part of the Casablanca vineyard group, which will allow visitors to taste not only the traditional strains of the Casablanca valley such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but also strains that are produced in other valleys such as Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Additionally, the traditional grape stomping contest will be held, along with blind wine tastings.
As an unmissable accompaniment, the “Casablanca Harvest Festival 2024” will have more than 25 gastronomic stands with local products, as well as craft stands, local breweries and entertainment for minors.
