Canelo Wins Over Jaime Munguia, Oscar Valdez: He’s a Tough Opponent

Saul Canelo Alvarez can win over Jaime Munguia according to Oscar Valdez, praising him as a tough opponent. Oscar Valdez believes that Jaime Munguia will not be an easy opponent for Saul Canelo Alvarez in the fight on May 4.

“I’m happy for Jaime Munguia. He’s not an easy opponent. People thought Jaime Munguia would be easy for Canelo. No, he’s tough. He’s got heart. But I’m still confident Canelo will win, because I saw him train and the strengths he has have [secara mental] and with his talent,”Oscar Valdez analyzed.

The undisputed super middleweight world champion, Saul Canelo Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) and Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) will fight on May 4 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, United States . This duel will mark Canelo Alvarez’s first fight against a Mexican boxer since facing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in 2017.

The boxing public banged on the table and called for Saul Canelo Alvarez to fight against undefeated challenger, David Benavidez. But Canelo doesn’t seem too interested in this fight. “He’ll fight anyone. He’s not afraid to fight anyone,” Valdez said. “But there are other people who will say that… They always bring in new people and say, ‘Oh, you’re shying away from it.”

“Canelo is one of the hardest workers out there. I’ve seen him fight on Saturday, rest on Sunday and be back in the gym on Monday. That shows you the type of fighter he is, especially when he has everything, and when he has done it all. He is always practicing, and that is one thing I admire.”
