Candidates claim faulty clocks during the presidential debate

The first presidential debate was characterized by failures in the clocks that control the timing of the candidates’ interventions and the format of the debate. Both Claudia Sheinbaum and Jorge Álvarez Máynez complained during the debate about the inconsistencies of the stopwatches and later gave their observations to the institute.

For her part, Morena’s candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, pointed out that there were issues in the debate format and urged the INE to review the failures of the stopwatches.

He added that regarding the questions, it would be better for each candidate to present their proposals and messages to the people of Mexico, instead of the questions assigned by the moderators.
