Canadian goaltender Murray is playing his first “dry” game in the NHL

The undrafted Murray played 13 games this season in the American Hockey League (AHL) as part of the Texas “Stars,” posting eight wins, one shutout and 90.8 percent shooting.

The goalie joined the Stars system two years ago after playing five seasons in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship. Last season he played three games in the NHL and 34 in the AHL.

Tyler Segin and Rope Hintz stood out for the Stars with 1+1s, while Radek Faksa and Jason Robertson also scored.

In another game, the Colorado Avalanche won on penalties, beating the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins at home, 4–3.

Miko Rantanen, Logan O’Connor and Samuel Malinskis scored goals for the home team, while Nathan McKinnon had an assist for the 22nd consecutive home game. Only Joe Sakic has the longest streak in Avalanche history (23 consecutive home games).
