Jaishankar also said, “We have repeatedly told Canada not to grant visas, legal recognition or political privileges to people who pose a threat to your internal security and Ottawa-New Delhi relations.” But on the contrary, given that opportunity, these people are now a threat to Canada.

‘Things have gone bad for us too. It has also had a negative impact on the India-Canada relationship. And Canada has not given us any information about the three people who were arrested on Friday. But from what he heard, the three suspects have a history of involvement with Indian gangs.

In response to the question why Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is criticizing India over Nijjar’s death, Jaishankar said that a section of Khalistanists are using Canada’s democracy for their own interests. Created the lobby. They have become a vote bank too. The country’s ruling party does not currently have a majority in Canada’s parliament. And some parties depend on these Khalistanists to survive. So the ruling party is giving shelter to Khalistani.

In September last year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the involvement of Indian agents in Nijja’s murder. Since then India-Canada relations started to crack. New Delhi termed Trudeau’s allegations as baseless and influenced.

S Jaishankar said, Canada has not given us enough evidence. Even their investigating agencies are not cooperating with us. But it is clear that the Trudeau government is blaming India out of political compulsion. Since elections are coming up in Canada, they have indulged in vote bank politics.

Canada’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said on Friday (May 3) that Karan Brar (22), Kamalpreet Singh (22) and Karanpreet Singh (28) have been arrested in Nijjar’s murder. A case of murder has also been filed against them. The trio played different roles in the killing of Nijjar in Surrey last year. Canada has claimed that the investigation is still ongoing, despite not providing any evidence in this regard.

Mandeep Mooker, member and officer-in-charge of Canada’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, said the investigation does not end here. I know that others are involved in this incident and played a role in the murder. We are determined to identify and arrest each and every one of them.

Mandeep Mooker confirmed that they are all residents of Edmonton, Alberta. They were arrested from there. Some of those arrested have been in Canada for three years and some for five years. The official also said that the investigation is continuing by keeping in touch with the Indian government.
