By investing one million euros, Eleport will create the largest charging park in the Baltics

Developing the charging network for electric cars, Eleport offers charging options in 7 new locations in Latvia and also announces the creation of the largest charging park in the Baltic States in Lithuania near the shopping and entertainment center “Akropole”.

Overall, the Eleport network in Latvia has been supplemented with 13 new charging stations both in Riga and outside. In the capital, charging stations are available for electric car users at the “RIMI” shopping center (Tilta iela 32 and A. Deglava iela 110) and “Rīga Plaza”, near the Studio Riga cinema and at the “AD REM” automotive center ” in Brīvības iela 246. Meanwhile, a new charging station was also opened in Ogre near the “Dauga” shopping center and in the Cēsu region near the “Bille” guest house, thus providing a total of 28 new ports in Latvia for electric car owners.

As the number of electric car users increases, our job is to provide the most accessible car charging infrastructure for everyone. Our goal is to create charging stations suited to the daily usage habits of end users and ensure their availability in the ever-expanding region of Riga, Latvia and the Baltics.

Electric car charging infrastructure developer Eleport has made significant investments in the development of the charging network not only on the territory of Latvia, but also in our neighboring country, Lithuania, announcing the creation of a new charging park near the center shopping and entertainment “Akropole”, located in the center of Kaunas. As part of the project, the installation of 40 charging stations is planned, for a total investment of almost 1 million euros. The implementation of the project is planned in two phases and the installation of the first 20 stations will begin in January this year. The planned charging park will be the largest in the Eleport network, as well as in the Baltics, offering the opportunity to charge up to 80 electric cars simultaneously.

At the “RIMI” t/c in via A. Deglava 110, 200 kW ultra-fast charging stations have been installed, capable of charging at a charging speed of 1250 km/h, or 100 km in five minutes. A 100 kW charging station is available to users at the “RIMI” t/c in via Tilta 32. Ultra-fast charging stations, as well as 50 kW and 22 kW, have been installed at the “Rīga Plaza” t/c. The Eleport network was complemented by the 75 kW charging station installed at the “AD REM” automotive center, as well as the 100 kW charging station installed at the “Dauga” railway station. At the “Bille” guesthouse it is possible to use 100 kW and 22 kW charging stations for electric car users. The “SimpleCharge” and “Garo” stations installed in Riga film studios were also added to the Eleport network.

“Garo” charging stations have two ports, while “SimpleCharge” has one port, and these charging points are publicly available to all electric car users. The fast charging stations are equipped with European standard CCS and Japanese standard CHAdeMO cables, while the AC stations are equipped with European standard Type 2 sockets.
