Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has been appointed as the new Pro-VC (Academic) University Treasurer and Professor of Respiratory Medicine Department Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman.
On Monday (April 22), Prof. Atiq was appointed in a notification signed by Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Deputy Secretary, Medical Education-1 Branch, Department of Health Education and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
It is said that, with the approval of His Excellency the President, Professor Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman has been appointed to the vacant post of Pro-VC (Academic) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University under the following conditions.
conditions
1. Promote him from the post of Treasurer to appoint him as Pro-VC of BSMMU.
2. His appointment as Pro-VC will be for four years.
3. In the post of Pro-VC he will be entitled to emoluments equivalent to his current post.
4. He will enjoy other benefits related to the post of Pro-VC as per rules.
5. As Pro-VC shall perform his duties as per Section 15(2) of BSMMU Act, 1998.
6. The President can cancel the appointment at any time if necessary.
