Bricklayers block Allende Avenue; They ask the Municipality for compensation

A group of brickmakers from the Santa Fe ejido blocked traffic along Allende Avenue and Ramón Corona Street, as a measure of pressure because their demands for compensation have not been met.

On behalf of the dissatisfied, Miguel Ángel Hernández Villarreal explained that since the last municipal administration, chaired by Jorge Zermeño Infante, and During the current one they have waited for said compensation, but there is no progress.

The complainant assured that they had an appointment on the seventh floor of the municipal presidency, but they canceled them and they were not able to address the problem with representatives of the Municipality.

Based on complaints from the residents of said community, due to the incessant emission of polluting smoke from brick manufacturing, municipal authorities proposed ending said activity.

For it, They offered the brickmakers compensation for the land they occupyin exchange for dedicating themselves to another activity and, thereby, seeking the benefit of the same community.

Currently, the General Directorate of the Environment of the Municipality carries out studies on air quality in that sector, since the brickmakers have maintained this activity, causing inconvenience among the neighbors.

The dissatisfied parties were received by the Citizen Services Directorate, where they were in turn channeled to the Environment and the Municipal Pensions Directorate.
