BRI Managing Director Sunarso Named Best CEO of Communication at the 2024 BCOMSS Awards

JAKARTA – Consistently continuing to build quality communication is the commitment of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI in conveying open information to the public. Most recently, BRI’s communication achievements received appreciation through the 2024 BUMN Corporate Communication and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) award organized by the Ministry of BUMN.

In the event which was held at Tennis Indoor, Senayan Jakarta, Saturday (8/3/2024), there were four awards given to BRI, including BRI President Director as Best CEO of Communication, then three other awards, namely Best Stakeholder Management, Best Social Media and Corporate Campaign, and Corporate Social Media Ranger Activation. The award was received by Deputy Main Director of BRI Catur Budi Harto.

The BCOMSS Awarding Night 2024 was attended by the Minister of BUMN of the Republic of Indonesia Erick Thohir, Special Staff III of the Minister of BUMN Arya Sinulingga, the ranks of the BUMN Directors, the BUMN Corporate Secretary, more than 2,000 BUMN millennials, and the jury team consisting of Elvera N. Makki, Tirto Prakoso, Aurelie Moeremans, and Cinta Laura Kiehl.

BUMN Minister Erick Thohir said that his party continues to encourage openness of public information in BUMN and hopes to be better prepared to deal with positive and negative issues or information for the better sustainability of BUMN companies.

“This openness of information is part of what I called the arrangement that we are trying to continue to encourage to apply to all state-owned companies,” he said.

Apart from that, Erick also encouraged BUMN employees to actively participate in voicing the performance of BUMN so that they could build pride.

The BCOMSS 2024 event itself is an event held as a form of appreciation from the Ministry of BUMN for the communication performance and sustainable Social & Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) of all BUMN corporations and subsidiary companies. This event aims to provide an understanding of mass media and social media campaigns as well as continuous TJSL knowledge updates. This is in line with the commitment of the Ministry of BUMN so that every BUMN is able to continue to have a positive impact on society.

Regarding this award, BRI President Director Sunarso also expressed his highest appreciation to Brilliant People who have made achievements in relation to building positive company communications.

“As one of the largest state-owned companies in the country, BRI will continue to build strong messages in conveying communication messages, which not only create economic value but also BRI’s role in building social value for the Indonesian people,” he said.
