This will be the smartphone with the “terrible” battery capacity on the market today.
Four years after Avenir Telecom announced a phone with a huge 18,000mAh battery, the company continues to surprise with an even more “spectacular” version. The new phone is called the Hard Case P28K, and like its predecessor, it will be sold under the Energizer brand (which Avenir licenses from the battery maker).

The company claims the P28K’s battery has enough capacity to last a week at normal intensity. The device is also IP69 rated which is quite sturdy so it can “survive” the outdoor adventures you may want to experience without worrying about running out of battery. Talk time is rated up to 122 hours (more than 5 days) while standby time is up to 2252 hours (nearly 94 days)

However, its disadvantage is that it is quite bulky. With a thickness of 27.8mm and a weight of 570g, Hard Case P28K is 3 times thicker and heavier than an iPhone 15. So, if you are looking for a thin and light phone, this is not the choice. Fit. It can fast charge up to 33W, but there is no official information on how long it takes to fully charge.

In terms of configuration, if you want to use it as a regular smartphone, you may be disappointed. It does not support 5G, the processor is an unremarkable MediaTek MT6789. You’ll get 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, three rear cameras, Android 14 operating system, and a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD screen.
Avenir Telecom plans to sell the Energizer Hard Case P28K for 249 euros when it goes on sale in October this year. It will be available globally, but not in the US.
