Bangladesh Awami League’s 75th founding anniversary or ‘Platinum Jubilee’ will be on June 23. A theme song has been created to increase the level of joy on the day and to convey the party’s rich history as a political party. Which is created by one of the country’s music duo lyricist Zulfikar Russell and music director Pavel Arin.
A beautiful video has been made in keeping with the lyrics of this special song titled ‘The name of Awami League in the heart of Bangladesh’. It is directed by Ishtiaq Mahmood. Produced by Bangladesh Awami League, the entire project was planned and coordinated by Barrister Biplab Barua, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The theme song sung by the chorus was released two days before the ‘Platinum Jubilee’ (June 21) on the verified Facebook page of Bangladesh Awami League and social media of its organizations.
Since the release of the song ‘Awami League’s name in the heart of Bangladesh’, the people concerned have been praised. Especially the common people are expressing fascination with its rich words and depiction. Through the song, the aesthetic story of the 75 years of Bangladesh Awami League has been presented.
Regarding the writing of the song, National Film Award winning lyricist Zulfikar Russell said, ‘There are very few precedents in the world of language movement, liberation war, freedom and progress with any other political party like Awami League. The head of that party is Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in whose hands this country was born. The next chapter is to move forward on the path of prosperity under the strong leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, Deshratna Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh Awami League is the perfect name for this freedom, understanding and development in the life of the Bengali nation. It is a pleasure to be a part of the group’s platinum jubilee.’
It needs to be said, within 18 hours of the release of the song ‘Awami League’s name in the heart of Bangladesh’, more than 500 shares were shared only from the party’s Facebook page. In the comment room, there are many compliments from the audience.
The song’s composer-music director Pavel Arin said, ‘First of all, it is a great honor for me to be able to sing the platinum jubilee theme song of a party like Bangladesh Awami League. Zulfikar Russell Bhai, the lyricist of the song, was my first encourager in this regard. His enthusiasm and poetic lyrics actually gave me a long way to compose the melody of the song. We have done some big theme songs together before, this time too. Another thing I felt about this song is freedom. The song was given to me by Barrister Biplab Barua. If he or the team did not have this freedom, I, as a music director, would have had to complete my duties by playing drums and drums like an arranger. But for this song me and Russell brother have got full freedom and support, which is incredible. All in all I am actually very happy to do this song.’
Before this, on the occasion of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 26, 2021, a special song ‘Bolo Joy Bangabandhu’ with lyrics by Zulfikar Russell and the voice of AR Rahman was made. After that, for the 73rd founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, the party’s theme song was created for the first time in the words of Zulfikar Russell and composed by Pavel Arin around the 22nd conference. The duo has also done several musical projects of Abul Khair group with success.
