Exhibition “Ceramic Art: Signature Design” in La Serena

The exhibition by the renowned sculptor, painter, and cultural mediator Tatiana Martin reveals a unique collection that combines art and utility. This project, produced by the prominent cultural manager Rina Araya, has been awarded the 2023 National Fondart, as it not only stands out for its originality but also for its commitment to the revaluation of ancestral pottery techniques, applying them to everyday objects under a contemporary vision.
In the words of those responsible, this exhibition “is born from a profound study of the evolution of ceramics, from its Neolithic origin to its meaning in pre-Columbian America, where ceramic objects not only fulfilled utilitarian functions but were also integrated into ritual practices.” as cultural symbols. Tatiana Martin, with her vast experience and an innovative approach, manages to merge the artistic with the utilitarian, offering a line of ceramics that stands out for its unique and contemporary design.
This project not only seeks to contribute to the artistic field with creations that challenge the limits between the functional and the aesthetic, but also aims to contribute to the sociocultural development of the territory.
