When the Strogoff restaurant in the capital’s Bahnhofsviertel had to close a few months ago, the question arose about the future of Comptoir Bohème, which was run by the same operators. Now it’s final: the restaurant in Cloche d’Or also has to close. The colleagues from Virgule.lu reported this exclusively on Monday evening.

Both restaurants opened in spring 2017 – Strogoff – and summer 2021 – Comptoir Bohème. According to Virgule.lu, the restaurant on Rue Eugène Ruppert now has high debts: in 2022 there was a loss of 875,000 euros. Two auctions are scheduled to take place this week to pay off the debt. According to Virgule.lu, the restaurant’s employees have not received wages since the beginning of the year. The restaurant has already had a difficult start as it was badly damaged by flooding in the summer of 2021.

The restaurant’s website is still active, but you cannot reserve a table.

Last September, another Mazelier Group restaurant, Strogoff, on Place de Paris had to close. In 2020 and 2021, this restaurant had high debts of around half a million euros each. Shortly afterwards, a former employee dared to reopen the Stazione in the same place.

The Mazelier Group’s Petit Bohème and Homard Bleu restaurants have also been closed for some time.
