The new minimum wage is announced today after the meeting of the cabinet, which will ratify the proposal of the Minister of Labor Mrs. Domnas Michailidou.

There are two versions for the amount of the new salary: first, the increase will reach 50 euros and bring the new minimum wage to 830 euros, and secondly, the over-optimistic scenario, the increase will reach 60 euros and the minimum wage will reach 840 euros .

The fourth consecutive increase in the minimum wage is due to the implementation of the government’s commitment that by 2027 the minimum wages will be 950 euros. In recent years the minimum wages have increased by 20% from 650 euros in 2019 to 780 in 2023.

  • Parental leave allowance: Minimum wage
  • Unemployment benefit: 13 daily allowances
  • Allowance for a three-month stay in the unemployment registers: 15 daily allowances
  • Released Allowance: 15 daily allowances
  • Temporary work: 20 daily allowances
  • Insolvency of employer: Up to 3 salaries
  • Builder season: 70% of the 37 minimum daily wages
  • Seasonal sanders: 70% of the 50 minimum daily wages
  • Seasonal for artists, theaters, tourism: 70% of the 25 minimum daily wages
  • Other seasonal (forest workers – resin collectors, tobacco workers, potters – potters – brick makers and shipyard employees): 70% of the 35 minimum daily wages
  • Self-employment benefit: Monthly unemployment benefit
  • Work allowance: 50% of unemployment allowance
  • Reimbursement for EPA Students: 75% of Daily Salary
  • Internship allowance (IEK DYPA): 80% of minimum salary
  • Gaining work experience: Minimum wage
  • Community benefit programs: Minimum daily wage
  • Employment programs: Subsidy 50% – 90% of the minimum wage
  • For working students participating in exams: 30 daily wages for undergraduates / 10 daily wages for postgraduates
