Army combats drug dealing with drug captures and seizures

Personnel of the Armed Forces who collaborate with the National Civil Police (PNC) in the war against gangs intensify the fight against drug dealing with the capture of criminals and seizures of drugs in various quantities that were ready to be sold in neighborhoods and colonies of the country.

In one of the cases, Daniel Esteban Castro Campos was intervened when he was circulating in the Concepción neighborhood, east of San Salvador, with 159 small portions of marijuana. Cash proceeds from illegal activities were also seized from him.

The authorities also intercepted María Irma Alvarado Maradiaga and Juan Carlos Castillo Maradiaga in Villas de San Pedro, municipality of San Pedro Masahuat, La Paz, from whom they confiscated two cell phones, several portions of cocaine, marijuana, crack and $1,249.60 in cash.

While in the Costa Rica neighborhood, south of the capital, a canine agent from the military special forces detected six portions of marijuana and a grinder to process this drug in a vehicle; For these events, Óscar Francisco Leiva Aguilar and Elnan Amílcar García Gómez were handed over to the Police.

On February 7, law enforcement officers intervened on Carlos Roberto Carbajal Carballo on Calle al Volcán, jurisdiction of Mejicanos, and seized 1,260.6 grams of marijuana, 20.6 grams of cocaine, a scale and a cell phone. The authorities assured that he was dedicated to selling drugs.

In the El Salara canton, in the municipality of Moncagua, San Miguel, Nelson Mauricio Machuca Ramírez was located when he was transporting 25 portions of marijuana.

Added to the list of arrests is that of Julio César Villavicencio Alemán, who was arrested in the IVU neighborhood of San Salvador where he carried marijuana, a scale and cash in a briefcase. A dog trained to detect drugs alerted the military.

Also handed over to the PNC, Manuel Enrique Morán Cadenas was intercepted between 7th Avenue North and 9th Street Oriente, Santa Tecla, La Libertad, where a bag with several portions of marijuana was seized.
