The General Secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has stated that Armenia has not been participating in the work of the secretariat recently, however, the organization has not received any official notification from Armenia regarding the suspension of the organization’s membership.
CSTO General Secretary Imanghali Tasmaghambetov said this in an interview with “Nationalia oborona” magazine.
“This is Armenia’s decision at this stage, and we, as an international organization, respect any decision of a sovereign state. However, the activity of the organization continues in full volume, all procedures are observed in full compliance with the statutory framework of the CSTO. According to the working procedure, the secretariat informs the relevant structures of Yerevan about the adopted and adopted decisions,” Tasmaghambetov emphasized in response to the question of how the organization sees future cooperation with Armenia.
