The rules amended by the Cabinet of Ministers aim to increase access to labor pensions. The main purpose of the regulations is to simplify and facilitate the determination and application procedures for occupational pensions.
Publika.az Vugar Bayramov, a member of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis, said this while answering Trend’s questions.
He noted that a number of documents will not be required when applying for a labor pension.
“In fact, this creates conditions for expanding citizens’ eligibility for pension and the possibility of applying for it. One of the other points is related to the calculation of supplements to pensions. Taking into account that the sequence of the stage such as adding and indexing benefits to pensions is determined, this is important in terms of increasing pension amounts.
Calculating supplements in the new rules is an important step in terms of increasing pension amounts according to seniority,” he added.
It should be recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers amended the “Regulation on the determination, calculation, recalculation, transfer from one type to another type and payment of labor pensions” as the next step in the field of improving the insurance-pension system and strengthening the social protection of pensioners.
With new changes:
• A certificate of the representative of the head of the local executive power will not be required when determining the pension due to the loss of the head of the family;
• It will not be required to record the day of labor participation (minimum labor day) in the labor book when calculating the insurance seniority of persons who once worked in the collective farm;
• Military personnel who have served more than 20 calendar years of service until 01.07.2017 will be charged an additional 3 percent of the security cost for each year of service rendered over 20 years until that time;
• If pensions are reduced to the minimum amount, indexation and financial assistance (paid in the previous year) are included in the pension on the same date, the calculations will be performed in the following order:
• The pension will be reduced to the minimum amount,
• The monthly portion of financial assistance will be included in the pension,
• Pension will be indexed.
