Apple’s first smart glasses model will be sold in the US from February 2, with many accessories such as cleaning cloths and chargers.
In an announcement on January 8, Apple said that Vision Pro mixed reality glasses will be available in the US on February 2. Users can pre-order the device from January 19 with a starting price of 3,499 USD for the 256 GB memory option, with no higher capacity available.
To suit many head sizes and user styles, Apple includes 2 straps including Solo Knit (single elastic strap around the head) and Dual Loop (fabric strap, with an additional headband worn around the forehead).
Accessories in the Vision Pro box also include an eye cushion (Light Seal), 2 support rings (Light Seal Cushion), front cover, cleaning cloth (Polishing Cloth), battery pack, cable and USB charger – C.
Apple also announced the price of two types of Zeiss lenses for Vision Pro. By default, the product does not have lenses due to its close-to-face design, but Apple still provides additional lenses for some user groups.
The reading lens version costs $99, while the prescription lenses are $149. The lenses are attached to the Vision Pro using magnets, allowing for more precise viewing and tracking.
Theo 9to5Mac, the official selling price for Vision Pro’s Zeiss lenses is lower than rumored. In June 2023, reporter Mark Gurman of Bloomberg each said these accessories would cost at least $300-600.

Apple also updated information about Vision Pro usage time. When using battery, the device can operate continuously for up to 2 hours if running mixed applications, and 2.5 hours if only playing video. When plugged directly into power, the glasses can operate all day.
Vision Pro is a mixed reality (XR) headset, combining virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) elements. Instead of using the above terms, Apple calls this spatial computing device.
The idea of creating Vision Pro is not new, but it still took Apple 8 years of development to create a device with manual control, strong configuration and synchronous software.
When launched at WWDC 2023, Apple emphasized that Vision Pro serves many purposes. Not only surfing the web, texting or watching movies, users can play games, make video calls and create their own workspace in a combined real and virtual environment through 2 micro-OLED screens, 4K resolution on each side. .

With the Digital Crown, users can adjust the surrounding space, from the office to tropical forests and beaches to focus on the content on the glass. EyeSight mode will display the user’s eyes and expressions through the external display for easy communication.
Vision Pro is equipped with M2 and R1 processor chips, specialized in processing signals from sensors, cameras and microphones with extremely low latency. The product uses the visionOS operating system, the interface and application are optimized for control by eyes, head, and hand gestures.
In the beginning, Vision Pro was only sold in the US. Apple said it will distribute the device in “more countries” later this year.
