An anti-terror operation regime was implemented in the cities of Makhachkala and Kaspiys of Dagestan.
Publika.az reports that “Interfax” reported on this with reference to the Operational Headquarters of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSS) across the republic.
According to the information provided by the administration, a special regime was imposed within the administrative boundaries of Leninsky, Sovetsky districts and Kaspiysk city of Makhachkala from 5:35 Moscow time.
At the same time, a number of special measures and temporary restrictions have been applied in these places during the anti-terrorist operation.
“The operational headquarters in Dagestan appeals to all residents of the republic to increase vigilance,” the representative of the headquarters told the agency.
The reasons for the operation have not yet been disclosed.
The headquarters added that local residents were urged to support law enforcement agencies in solving problems in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
According to the latest information, the special forces of the Federal Security Service captured the armed persons involved in terrorism in the apartments in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk.
