News from Angola – The National Senior Football Team will face, on Saturday (27), from 6pm in Angola, their counterpart Namibia in the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2023).

The clash between Angola and Namibia will be the first of the quarter-finals.

In the group stage, the “Palancas Negras” scored seven points, the result of a draw and two wins and came in first place.

In turn, the Namibians, with four points, finished third in Group E, achieving one victory, an equal number of defeats and draws.

It should be remembered that the Namibian team reached the round of 16 after drawing on Wednesday, with Mili by 0 -0

With qualification to the round of 16 already guaranteed, the “Palancas Negras” still needed to win to secure first place and avoid clashes with theoretically stronger opponents.

Pedro Gonçalves’ men played the game cautiously, although the opponent pressed and created greater opportunities for danger near the goal in Neblú’s custody.

The team is confident of reaching the quarter finals.
