The Ecuadorian Athletics Federation extended the call to the athlete from Loja Andrea Calderón, as selected from Ecuador, with a view to her participation in the Ibero-American Athletics Championship to be held in Cuaibá-Mato Grosso, Brazil from May 7 to 13, 2024 on the track of the Olympic Training Center of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT).
Cuibá is the fourth Brazilian city to receive Ibero-American athletes, in the context of the senior championship and which means, one of the alternatives for athletes to achieve the required mark, for their presence in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Andrea Calderón from Loja would be participating in the 1,500m and 3,000m flat tests, with a forecast of placing in the first places in the Ibero-American Championship, as explained by Carlos España, Fedeloja athletics coach. (D)
