Andie Dinialdie Returns to Lead POBSI South Sumatra Provincial Government

The South Sumatra Provincial Management of the All Indonesian Billiard Sports Association (Pengprov POBSI) successfully held a Provincial Conference (Musprov) which took place in Palembang, on Sunday, May 5 2024.

The Musprov re-appointed Andie Dinialdie as General Chair of the South Sumatra POBSI Pengprov. Andie was elected by acclamation after becoming the sole candidate by winning 13 votes from a total of 17 city district branch administrators (pengcab) who attended the event.

The executive chairman of the South Sumatra POBSI Musprov, Surya Rahman, expressed his hope for the re-election of Andie Dinialdie as General Chair. According to him, it is hoped that Andie’s re-election will bring increased performance for billiards athletes in South Sumatra.

“With Mr. Andie’s election, hopefully we can further improve the achievements of billiards athletes in South Sumatra. Because previously during the Papua PON only one athlete qualified, but for the North Sumatra – Aceh PON, there were three athletes, hopefully all three will get medals,” said Surya Rahman when contacted by telephone.

Surya, who previously also served as deputy chairman I of POBSI South Sumatra, added that it was hoped that the programs of the provincial government previously led by Andie would run as expected.

“The program that we hope for, hopefully every year, each regional government can hold a national scale tournament, also the closest program is coaching for athletes who take part in PON, in order to get maximum results,” concluded Surya.

With the re-election of Andie Dinialdie as General Chair of the South Sumatra POBSI Pengprov, hopes of improving the performance of billiards athletes are increasingly gaining strong momentum. The administrators and players of South Sumatra’s billiard sport also hope that the programs that will be implemented can have a significant positive impact on the development of South Sumatra’s billiard sport.
