American Jeff Scheingold turned to the police department of the Kyzylorda region with a request to find information about his father, who lived in the Terenozek district, Liter.kz reports with reference to the press service Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The police archive began searching for a man who was arrested in 1943 during the repressions.

In 2022, I learned that my parents lived in Kazakhstan in 1942 during the Great Patriotic War. They escaped the Nazis from Poland. We had no more information except the court record. As a result of the search, documents were found that had been stored in the archives for almost 80 years. They concerned my parents and brother, buried in village No. 6. Thanks to the police, we have reconstructed the details of their lives from 1942 to 1946,” said Jeff Scheingold.

The man came to Kyzylorda with his wife. They visited the burial place of their brother and bowed to the ground where their parents lived.

The regional police archive contains more than 30 thousand copies of documents, which are very important for thousands of people seeking information about the fate of relatives, as well as for scientists, journalists, and historians for the complete restoration of historical information.
