In Khulna, a woman (45) was accused of being raped after coming to steal a house, tied her hands and feet and put super glue on her eyes and face. The victim was rescued from a house in Paikgacha upazila on Monday (February 12) morning in a critical condition and admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) of Khulna Medical College (Khumek) Hospital. Earlier, this incident took place between 3 pm and 4 pm on Sunday.
According to family sources, the victim’s husband deals in raw materials. He was out of the house on Sunday night. Children stay outside to study. On Sunday night, thieves entered the house by climbing the tree next to the house and climbing to the roof. Later he tied the hands and feet of the housewife and put super glue on her eyes and face and raped her. On Monday morning, neighbors went and rescued the woman after hearing her screams. At that time, his eyes and mouth were covered with super glue. Hands and feet were tied. Later he was admitted to the hospital.
The woman’s son said that the thieves escaped with a pair of gold pendants and approximately two lakh rupees from the house. They climbed the tree next to the house and entered the house. The mother was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The housewife’s husband said that the room next to the stairs on the one-story roof was open. His wife was tied up and raped with super glue on her eyes and face. However, his wife could not tell how many thieves there were.
Suman Roy, Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Khumek Hospital said, “The woman was admitted to the hospital in the morning complaining that she was a victim of rape. He has injury marks on different parts of his body. He is currently undergoing surgery to save his face and eyes. His health will be checked.
When asked about this, Khulna Assistant Superintendent of Police (D-Circle) Saiful Islam said, ‘On receiving the news, the incident site has been visited. The matter is being investigated.’
Paikgacha Police Station OC Obaidur Rahman said, ‘The woman was found with her hands and feet tied. An investigation has been started as to whether she was a victim of rape.’
