His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s Two Seas Motorsport team achieved an impressive win and two podium finishes as the British GT Championship season kicked off at Olten Park in Cheshire, UK.
The duo of Ian Logie and Phil Keane, in the No. 6 D2 Mercedes-AMG GT3, finished second in the opening race of the season, and finished third in the second race, which was full of events and challenges.
On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, owner of the 2Seas Motorsport team, expressed his pride and happiness in achieving this result with the resumption of competitions in the new season, and raising the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain in these major international sports races and competitions, praising His Highness. With the performance of drivers Logie and Ken, who once again demonstrated their experience and ability to confirm their position in this championship.
As for the racers, Kevin Tse and Maximilian Götz, His Highness said that they were not lucky because of what they were exposed to on the racetrack, especially with the impact of safety cars and cautions that reduced their chances of progressing. His Highness confirmed their ability to lead again at Silverstone.
Tse and Goetz in the #18 Contempo Concept car faced heavy traffic, violations and emergency repairs at the narrow and rainy Cheshire Circuit during both races, which reduced the chances of achieving any gains and led to them finishing 17th and 18th despite the progress they achieved in qualifying.
Team Tossis is now focusing on its first European participation at the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, which takes place at Circuit Paul Ricard at a later date.
