Representative Ahmed Al-Salloum said that the economic recovery plans in general are a Bahraini initiative and have achieved precedence at the regional level in the field of addressing the repercussions of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) and launching plans for recovery and economic growth. What is beautiful about the plan is that it included practical initiatives and implementation indicators so as to facilitate the process of review, monitoring and evaluation.
Al-Salloum stressed that there has been great success in implementing the initiatives, but the economic situation today, more than two and a half years after the end of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), requires reviewing strategies and plans, and launching new plans that are in line with global economic changes.
Al-Salloum praised the directives of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to formulate Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2050 in consultation with the legislative authority, stressing that this directive reflects the long-term future outlook of the leadership in preparing for all major economic changes and transformations in the world.
Regarding the economic recovery plans, Al-Salloum stated that the responsibility does not fall solely on the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, as it is shared according to each sector and economic field. There are 7 strategies that have been developed in the economic recovery plans, and the greatest responsibility for implementing the strategies lies with the parties concerned with them.
