Preparations for the organizing teams of the Bahrain Motor Federation continue to organize the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix from February 29 to March 2 at the Bahrain International Circuit, the home of motor sports in the Middle East, in celebration of (20 years in the making of history).

The Bahrain Automobile Federation continues to review the roles of its organizational teams that contribute to organizing this race and the races supporting it in order to achieve all organizational success factors.

Today’s team is one of the important teams in this race, which is the technical inspection team headed by Abdul Rahman Ghuloum, who said, “The team is assigned major tasks during the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for the Formula One race, the most prominent of which are: following up on the progress of work by ensuring that the teams participating in the race are monitored.” The race will be attended by members of the inspection team at the entrance to each garage for each participating team, where the participating cars will be verified and free of any mechanical violation or in the external body of the car to be in line with international specifications and standards for Formula 1 racing cars, starting from the free trials on the first day until the day of the race, as is the case for the rest. In the event of any technical malfunction in the car, the garage inspector of the inspection team is informed, who in turn verifies the official approvals licensed by the members of the participating International Federation and the race supervisor, so that the team can change the spare parts to be replaced, taking into account taking the damaged spare parts to a garage. The main inspection is in what is called the inspection barn, and on the last day, after the completion of the race, the car drivers head their cars to the prohibited area in order for the participating cars to be examined and to ensure that they have finished the race according to the specifications and standards set by the International Automobile Federation and that no clauses have been violated.”

Ghuloum continued in his speech, saying, “In implementation of Mamlaka’s vision to increase the contributions of Bahraini women by increasing their participation in sporting events to be the contributing element to every success, the management of the technical inspection team, under the guidance of the Bahraini Motor Federation, increased the female component, and the number of team members is 61 individuals distributed over various tasks.” Including 12 women, and the team members are distributed across all races as follows: two individuals for each car from the Formula One, Formula 2 and Formula 3 teams: 30 individuals, the Plateform for the two categories: 5 individuals, and there is a reserve of 5 individuals for all categories, and what distinguishes the team is that it works with the heart of one team in order to Achieving the highest levels of success for the race, and all team members, whether male or female, possess all the required skills, capabilities and experience.”
